چکیده
A new microtransfer technique is described which uses a modified, V-bottom, disposable, 96-cup plastic plate that permits serial dilutions and direct rapid transfer to a recipient micro cell culture plate.

Manufacturing and Using Piggy-back Multibarrel Electrodes for In vivo Pharmacological Manipulations of Neural Responses
In vivo recordings from single neurons allow an investigator to examine the firing properties of neurons, for example in response to sensory stimuli. Neurons typically receive multiple excitatory and inhibitory afferent and/or efferent inputs that integrate with each other, and the ultimate measured response properties of the neuron are driven by the neural integrations of these inputs. To stud...
متن کاملMeasurement of ultraviolet radiation at the surface of the eye.
PURPOSE A new method for the measurement of ultraviolet radiation that reaches the surface of the eye is described. METHODS The technique uses contact lenses produced from the ultraviolet-sensitive plastic polysulfone. Two types of polysulfone contact lenses (9 mm and 12 mm in diameter) were manufactured from a polysulfone rod. The 9-mm polysulfone contact lens could be calibrated and used to...
متن کاملLiver transplantation In patients with situs
Two patients with situs inversus and biliary atresia were treated with hepatic transplantation, one with an auxiliary liver and the other with an orthotopic graft which was placed using a piggy-back technique. Both transplants functioned well initially. The auxiliary liver was rejected after 1 ~ months, and the patient died after an attempt at retransplantation many months later. The recipient ...
متن کاملCombined Piggyback Technique and Cavoportal Hemitransposition for Liver Transplant
Portal Vein thrombosis (PVT) increases the difficulty of liver transplant; however, it is not an absolute contraindication. Cavoportal hemitransposition (CPH) is an option for patients with complete PVT and no alternative collateral vein. Our center often performs the piggyback technique for the hepatic vein reconstruction, which allows for great access to the recipient vena cava in patients wi...
متن کاملUnusual membranous structures in minicells and minicell-producing strains of Escherichia coli.
Minicell-producing strains of Escherichia coli K-12 seem to produce extra membranous material yielding internal cross membranes, "piggy-back" minicell forms, and unusual vesicles.
